What Customers Say About The Sims 2: Mansion & Garden Stuff:

It is'nt all that much to the stuff pack unless you build large mansions or download houses that require it. But if you have all the other packs why not get this one too.

My niece Jenna really loves The Sims. you can totally crate a huge garden that My Sims can get lost in. This is way fun and as addicting as all the others. One evening while I was writing a review to post on this site, she told me she wanted me to post reviews of all her Sims games. There are no murders here, no killings, no tanks, no planes, no bombs, no body parts flying all over heck and gone. I told her if she wrote them, I'd post them. She's has been staying with me for the last couple weeks while her parents are vacationing in Europe. Ha.

So, below please read Jenna's take on this game. I have not edited her words, they are here exactly as she wrote them.Jenna says: This time decorate your garden to the fullest extent or deck out your mansion. A perfect addition to your Sims collection. My take on The Sims is that if you have a child who wants to play video games, look no further than The Sims. Simply stated, The Sims are fun, they really are, they are good, clean fun.

and then it crashes. I've installed and uninstalled and reinstalled this expansion multiple times. Occasionally you're able to use it for a while before it completely kills everything, but more often than not, that's not the case. It crashes. and then it crashes. I love it, but I hate it because I'm not able to use it. :P

It has added so many more neat items to my game, it's nice to decorate with more items than what came with the base game.

This one is the one to buy. There is also a new cheat that allows you to place objects on a quarter grid instead of the big grid, which is great for centering TVs across from loveseats, coffee tables in front of three tile sofas, ceiling fixture lamps over dining tables, and such.

This stuff pack comes with some really nice looking new object meshes -- and if the textures aren't your cup of tea, there are lots of nice recolors to be found online at various Sims download sites. I especially like the Second Empire set with it's Mansard roofs with windows in them.

If you are a sims addict looking to add to your collection by buying some stuff packs, this is the one to add if you don't buy any of the others. MUCH nicer and easier to use than the ingame cheat.

The new plants are very nice looking as well as the new garden objects. But the two things that sold me on this stuff pack are the new animations for Sims sliding down staircase railings and the "slider" for adjusting individual roof slopes in build mode.

Much nicer than trying to use the snapobjectstogrid cheat in the original game, IMO. You'll have to use this DVD to start the game with because it behaves more like an expansion pack than a stuff pack, but that's no problem.
